Textile Conservation, this is a small part of my work as an organics conservator, working on all organic materials.
The intention is to show what the object look like but not to disguised the damage.

Wool & Cotton textile the Clothes Moths ate the wool.
For the larger areas of damage - Dye a piece of cotton to a near match to the original textile and the couch, with a monofiliment silk thread, on to the back of the damage area ensuring the remaining cotton warp threads were aligned. The smaller holes were stitched around the edges to prevent further unravelling.
